A Sunset Moon

I recently captured these shots of a nearly full moon behind a glorious sunset. So here they are to celebrate the spectacular colours of our world.

Where’s the plane?

Beautiful shots, Sandy. Hoping to see a few more sunsets myself now! The full moon came up over Moreton Bay last night and broke through the clouds just after it had cleared the horizon. Only there for a few minutes but stunning in its briefness 🙂

Oh, moon-rises or sunsets over water are incredibly beautiful. You’ll have so many great photographic opportunities at sea! I’m a member of a WANA Tribe, Me And My Camera, and each month we hold a competition with a particular theme. It’s a good way of developing our skills. Last month (as in February) we did black and white and there were some great photos presented.

Have a lovely time at ARRC. 🙂

Lovely photographs, Sandy. Keep them coming. There is nothing like watching the rise and fall of a day, both delivering splendid, mesmerising colours. Except, I haven’t seen one for a while. Dark clouds are on the horizon. It poured all weekend, and looks as though it’s going to bucket down. Can’t wait for that sun and some vitamin D. 🙂

Thanks, Suzanne. 🙂 I was walking back down the lane-way from chatting with some of the neighbours, looked up and saw the moon in the sunset. I bolted for home and my camera. I think the other neighbours thought I’d gone nuts!
