I find developing a character very much like tending a garden. Give them the attention they need and they’ll bloom for you – both of them. 🙂

To sketch out their bones put them in an environment that will inspire growth.

Tend to the needs their past may have inflicted. Add a little TLC and something to grow on. Nurture them until they burst into life.

Of course, if you’re really lucky, someone else could tend your garden…

But then it wouldn’t be yours, would it?
